Publish Standard Form

When you are ready to share a Standard Donation Form with the public, you can embed it on a webpage, publish its URL, and download its QR code.

Tip: You can also follow these publish steps when testing your form with a payment configuration in test mode.

Select the form from All donation forms under Related Links. Next, select Publish.

Embed form on a webpage

When you embed donation forms on your organization's website, it helps build trust and increase donor conversions. To embed a form, from Publish, select Copy under Embed form on a webpage. Next, paste the code in the body of the webpage where you want the form to display.

The code you copy contains a <div id> tag to identify the form, and the <script> tag contains the JavaScript that makes the form display. After you embed the code, you don't have to embed it again if you make changes to the form because those changes will automatically update the embedded content. Do not make any changes directly to the code.

Warning: For security reasons, most email clients do not support JavaScript in their messages, therefore pasting the HTML into a message isn't recommended. Instead, provide a hyperlink to the form within the message.

Use Hosted URL

If you are unable to embed a form on a webpage, you can direct donors to the form using its Blackbaud-hosted URL. From Publish, under Launch form from its URL, select Copy URL. Next, add the copied URL to emails and other materials.

Tip: To build trust with your donors when you use the URL, make sure the form has your organization's branding.

Download QR code

To direct donors to a form from printed materials and presentations, from Publish, select Download QR code under Launch form from its URL. Next, add the QR code to your materials.

Set designations, campaigns, and appeals from hyperlink

When there are too many designations to add to the form or you would like to pass a campaign and appeal through a form, you can set these parameters in the form's hyperlink. To learn how to use parameters, see Get Started with Hyperlink Parameters.
