Blackbaud Altru Connection

Online Giving uses an automated connection to add donors and gifts from Blackbaud Donation Forms to Altru. To manage your organization's connection settings, from Settings, under CRM connection, select Preferences.

To connect gifts to Altru, from Cards and wallets, you must select the credit card types from Altru that map to card types in Online Giving.

  • For Card type mappings, choose which credit card types will map from Altru to Online Giving.

  • For PayPal and Venmo, choose which other payment method types will map from Altru to Online Giving.

    Note: To accept PayPal and Venmo, first connect your Blackbaud Merchant Services and PayPal Business accounts.

    Tip: To manage other payment method types, you can filter the revenue category from Code Tables in Altru. PayPal and Venmo appear as 'other' payments in Altru.

Optionally, you can choose whether to track digital wallets, such as Apple Pay, as a revenue reference on the payment record in Altru, under Digital wallet tracking.

Comments from donors appear as revenue notes on payments in Altru. You must choose a revenue note type for these comments.

Changes to recurring gift statuses are tracked as revenue reason codes in Altru. You must choose which reason codes map to the recurring gift statuses in Online Giving.
