Blackbaud Altru Connection Preferences

Online Giving uses an automated connection to add donors and gifts from Blackbaud Donation Forms to Altru. To manage your organization's connection settings, from Settings, under CRM connection, select Preferences.

  • Under Card type mappings, choose which credit types from Altru map to card types in Online Giving.

  • PayPal and Venmo appear as 'other' payments in Altru. Under PayPal and Venmo, choose which other payment method types from Altru map to PayPal and Venmo payment methods in Online Giving.

    Note: To accept PayPal and Venmo, first connect your Blackbaud Merchant Services and PayPal Business accounts. For more information, see Get Started with PayPal.

    Tip: To manage other payment method types in Altru, from Administration, select Code Tables, then filter by the revenue category.

  • Digital wallets such as Apple Pay and Google Pay appear as credit card payments in Altru. Under Digital wallet tracking, choose whether to track the wallet type as a revenue reference on the payment record in Altru.

Comments from donors appear as revenue notes on payments in Altru. Choose which note type to assign.

Changes to recurring gift statuses are tracked as revenue reason codes in Altru. Choose which reason codes map to recurring gift statuses in Online Giving.
