Configure the Abandoned Donation Reminder

Configure the reminder to prompt donors after they leave a gift unfinished on a donation form. To activate the reminder from Online Giving, Website components, select Donation reminders:

  • During initial setup — Select Display on my website the first time you configure the reminder.

  • After deactivation — Select Display on my website to turn the reminder back on.

Tip: Ensure the Online Giving Loader Script is embedded on your website so the reminder can load.

Edit and Activate the Abandoned Donation Reminder

  1. From Online Giving, select Website components.

  2. Select Donation reminders.

  3. Select Review and activate.

    Note: If the reminder is active, select Edit reminder.

  4. Under Customize, select Display on my website.

    Note: Clear Display on my website until you are ready to use the reminder on the website. This allows you to configure, preview, and test it.

  5. Select the background color and whether to include an image.

  6. Select Save or Preview to view the reminder.

Set a color to match your website.

  1. From Online Giving, select Website components.

  2. Select Donation reminders.

  3. Select Edit reminder.

  4. Under Background color, select the best color to match your website.

  5. Select Save or Preview to view the reminder.

Add an Image to the Abandoned Donation Reminder

Add an image to support your message.

  1. From Online Giving, select Website components.

  2. Select Donation reminders.

  3. Select Edit reminder.

  4. Under Image, select an option:

    • Heart icon

    • No image

    • Custom image

      Tip: The reminder resizes custom images that don’t fit within 88 px high and 150 px wide. The image you add can’t exceed 2 MB.

  5. Select Save or Preview to view the reminder.
