Key Metric Designer

Key metrics are Website Components that display a customized stat from your fundraising goal, including: amount raised, number of donations, percent of goal, or amount remaining. You can customize the key metric's style to match your website. After you embed it on your website, any future changes you make to the metric update automatically.

The key metric's total amount includes:

  • donor cover fees. For more information, see Fee Coverage

  • only the first gift of a recurring gift (when a donation form is the source of gifts)

Warning: Changes made to the donation after the initial transaction, such as a refund, are not reflected in the key metric's total amount.

Design a key metric

  1. Enter an internal name for the key metric.

  2. Set a goal amount.

  3. Select a donation form to use as the source of gifts. Gifts amounts are added to the key metric as soon as the form processes the gift.

  4. Select a gift date range for the key metric.

  5. Style the font, font size, and font color of the key metric.

  6. Select Save and Next.

Embed a key metric

  1. Review the styling of the key metrics.

  2. Select Copy under the key metric you want to embed on your website.

  3. Paste the goal meter code on your website. You only need to embed the key metric once. Any future changes appear automatically after you select Save.

    Note: The key metric's initial upload may take several minutes to load the data from the gift list. It will display 0 on your website until it finishes loading.
