Accept online payments for group sales reservations
To streamline the payment process and improve the patron experience, you can now accept online payments for group sales reservations. Previously, you needed to accept payments by phone or through offline methods like cash or check.
This update lets you email patrons a secure payment link from a reservation record so they can pay online at their convenience through your organization's checkout form.

To start using this feature, first configure the payment link email template.
-
From Tickets, select Group sales setup.
-
Select Payment link email template.
-
Enter a Subject, From address, and From name, then personalize the template with an introduction and closing.
Tip: For advanced customization, such as adding a logo or custom styles, edit the template’s HTML source code < >.
-
Select Save.
Email a secure payment link
From the reservation record, email the patron a payment link.
-
Under Tasks, select Email payment link.
-
Select an email address or enter a new one.
-
Choose the payment type:
-
Payment — Apply to the deposit or order balance.
-
Security deposit — Apply to the security deposit balance.

The patron receives an email with a link to your organization’s online checkout page, which is valid for 24 hours. After entering billing details, they complete their payment through the secure checkout form and receive an acknowledgement email.

What's New in Online Giving and Blackbaud Donation Forms
Enhanced branding card impact statements
Based on customer feedback, we removed the character limit for branding card impact statements. Now, you can craft more detailed and compelling messages to inspire your donors.
To maintain the engaging and streamlined look of the Optimized Donation Form, the impact statement text will display up to a maximum height of 300 px. This ensures your message stands out without disrupting the form’s clean design.
