Create advanced qualifications
Sometimes, you need to create more elaborate qualifications to identify specific types of applicants.
Tip: For an introduction to qualifications, see Add qualifications.
Sometimes, awards may target multiple types of applicants, such as:
-
Continuing student with 3.5 GPA
-
Freshman with 3.8 GPA
To pull in both types of applicants, create a qualification group to match each one.
In some scenarios, you've identified your ideal applicant but also want to consider other types of applicants.
For example, a donor wants an award to go to an international student majoring in business who has at least a 3.0 GPA. However, they'd also consider other international students with a 3.0 GPA.
To set up these qualifications:
-
Create a qualification group with your minimal qualifications (international student with 3.0 GPA)
-
In your first qualification group, select Duplicate Group.
-
In the second group, add a qualification for Business major.
In this scenario, you would see the following in the Applications grid:
-
Minimally qualified applicants would have 1 qualification point
-
Ideal applicants would have 2 qualification points
