What's New
The following new features and enhancements were last updated on September 12, 2024
To improve accessibility and further comply with WCAG 2.1 A and AA standards, we have made enhancements to Award Management and Stewardship Management. As part of this work, we addressed WCAG 1.1.1 (non-text content) and WCAG 4.1.2 (name, role, value) standards.
-
WCAG 1.1.1 provides text alternatives for non-text content, such as images. This ensures that all non-text content has a textual alternative via the provided text if you are using assistive technologies.
-
WCAG 4.1.2 replaces the use of placeholders to label or explain input user interface (UI) components, such as form elements, links, and components generated by scripts. This ensures digital content is accessible to all users, and web content and the UI are compatible with screen readers, magnifiers, and other assistive technologies.
To help you with clearer messaging and enhance the readability of the post-acceptance emails, you need to follow these instructions.
The clickable link in the post-acceptance email template is set up with Portfolio Name as the clickable link and the URL as the second part: {{ portfolio.name }}":{{ post_acceptance_application_url }}. If the clickable link code formatting in the post-acceptance email template is edited or removed, it can cause the link to point to the Applicant URL instead of the post-acceptance application. While you can still customize the template copy, it is crucial you keep the URL coding intact to avoid creating long URL strands.
Example of the template copy with the clickable link code formatting:
Hi {{ applicant.name }},
Your award for the following {{ portfolio.name }} opportunity needs additional information. Please provide the additional information at the link below:
"{{ portfolio.name }}":{{ post_acceptance_application_url }}
To improve the user experience, Applicant Centric Awarding (ACA), also known as award mode, has been redesigned to empower admins to make awarding decisions on more timely, accurate information. The experience focuses on individual recipients in a modernized grid with faster page load times, additional filter functionality, and automatic adjustments of fund balances and commitments as you make award decisions. See Use award mode for more information.
