Universal Opt-Out Signals, such as Global Privacy Controls (GPC), is another option for you (admins, applicants, references, reviewers, and donors) to communicate your privacy preferences with online sites to indicate you do not intend to have your information sold or shared.
Global Privacy Controls can be enabled enable via a browser extension. The decision to enable Global Privacy Controls is entirely your choice and is an action taken outside of Blackbaud Award Management and Blackbaud Stewardship Management.
If a GPC signal is enabled in a browser, when a user logs into Blackbaud Award Management or Blackbaud Stewardship Management, the system recognizes and records the date the GPC signal was received. Once a GPC signal is recorded for a user, it cannot be changed.
Admins can view view if the GPC signal is recognized and recorded for a user via these steps:
-
Select Site, Users, All Users.
-
Search for the user.
-
Scroll right to the Global Privacy Signal Enabled column. The recorded date of the signal will be listed in the column.
