Checkout flow
If custom cart flow settings language has been added, it will display on the pages where applicable.
You can also edit any of your donation options while offline.
See Cart flow settings for more information.

On the page of the organization to which you want to donate, select Make a new donation.

Select Credit Card, Recurring Payroll, or One Time Payroll. If you do not have any pay periods set up, you will not be able to select a payroll donation type.

Select or enter the amount you would like to donate.

For payroll donations, you can use the Show % Salary Option if it is enabled to change the amount options to percentages.

You can also use the Currency Converter option to convert between your preferred currency type to the organization’s accepted currency type.

You can add a designation to your donation if you are making the donation on behalf of someone or another entity.

Select Send an email if you would like to notify another person or entity of your donation. More fields display if you elect to send an email.
You can choose whether or not to show the donation amount in this email.

In the cart preview, review the following components:
-
The Impact Total is the total donation amount expected to reach the organization, minus any applicable fees. This total also includes any amount that your employer matches for your donation. With recurring payroll, this shows the deduction for one paycheck only.

The Estimated annual total is the total donation amount expected to reach the organization, minus any applicable fees, for the whole year based on your projected pay periods. This total also includes any amount that your employer matches for your donation.

If your community covers donation fees, the Transparent Giving 100% Donated badge displays.

If your community does not cover fees, you will see the Transparent Giving badge, if enabled, that describes how fees are applied and how funds are passed on to your chosen organization.

If you have a donation match available, see Applying a match . Otherwise, select Checkout Now, Add to My Cart, or Cancel.
Note: The Checkout Now option only appears if you are making one donation without any other donations in your cart. If you have multiple donations in your cart, this option does not appear.

If you select Add to Cart, see Your cart page.

If you select Checkout Now, see Completing a donation. This option will skip the cart page and allow you to check out quicker.

If your donation has an available match, the Donation Match section displays. You can choose to apply the match or decline it.

A progress bar displays beneath the match program(s) you have available. This progress bar shows how much of the available fund you have used and how much you have left for the calendar year.

Next to the match amount, the info tool tip displays the percentage at which your employer will match your donation.

If your match requires admin approval before it can be approved for processing, you will see an indicator in the Donation Match section. See the CSRconnect Email Library for more information.

If your match requires the organization to agree to regulatory NPO compliances, you will see an indicator in the Donation Match section for your donation match. You will also see if a client-specific compliance is needed before a match can be approved.

If the organization requires an affirmation, this displays and must be agreed upon before your donation and match can be added to cart.

If you choose to apply the match, your employer may have additional questions before you can complete your match selection. The Match Questions section displays if this is the case.

Select Checkout Now, Add to My Cart, or Cancel.
Note: The Checkout Now option only appears if you are making one donation without any other donations in your cart. If you have multiple donations in your cart, this option does not appear.

Review the following components of the cart page:

The Donation amount shows the amount you commit to donating. If you have selected recurring payroll donations, this total only shows the amount donated for one pay period.

The Match Amount appears if you applied a match to your donation. This shows the amount your employer commits to donating. If you have selected recurring payroll match, this total only shows the amount donated for one pay period.

The Service Fees appear if fees are not covered by your organization. This shows the amount of fees that will be taken out of your donation amount. If your organization covers all service fees, you will not see this line.

The Impact Total shows the total amount that will reach the organization, minus any applicable fees. This also includes any amount that your employer matches for your donation. If you have selected recurring payroll donations, this total only shows the amount donated for one pay period.

The Estimated annual total appears if you are making a recurring payroll donation. This shows the total donation amount you and your employer commit to donate to the organization annually, minus any applicable fees, based on your projected pay periods.

The Estimated annual match total appears if you are making a recurring payroll donation. This shows the total of your employer’s match annually. The estimated match total is based on the requirements of the selected match program.

Select Add match details if you want to add a donation match in the cart page. You can use this option if you previously declined matching your donation and now want to request a match, if you want to use a different match program, or if you want to change the amount you are requesting to match.
Note: If your employer does not use matching, or if all match programs have expired, your cart page will not display match language or functionality.

Select the Edit icon if you want to change any of your donation details.

Select the Delete icon if you want to remove your donation from the cart.

If you are making a single donation and select Checkout Now, you are redirected to the checkout page to complete your donation by entering your privacy preferences. Otherwise, you will advance from the cart page to the checkout page if you have multiple donations.

Once you are in the checkout page, the right side of the page includes a mini cart overview, along with your summaries and totals. For more information on these components, see Your cart page.

Select what info you want to share with the organization: Name and Email (default); Name, Address, and Email; or Anonymous.

Optional: If you select Name and Email, you can enter a different name than your own to appear with your donation.

Optional: If you select Name, Address, and Email, you can update your name and a different address that you would prefer to share with the organization.

Select Check this box if you would like to share your donor details with and receive communication from United Way if this feature is enabled and you would like to share your details.

If your employer has a custom affirmation for any donation, this affirmation will display and you must select I agree to the Company Affirmation Statement before you can continue.

If this is a credit card donation, select Add Credit Card.
Note: If this is an international donation, you may be redirected to our partner credit card processing site to enter your credit card info.

Select Confirm and Finish to complete your donation. You will receive a success message for a completed donation.
You can select Go to My Giving or Make a New Donation from here.
The success page, which confirms that your donation was successfully submitted, displays. This page also displays a Related Links section with relevant links for your affiliate.

On the charity page of the organization to which you want to donate, select Log an offline donation.
Note: If the organization has not been vetted, you will not be able to log an offline donation. Instead, you will be prompted to submit a vetting request first.

Enter the amount for your donation.

You can also use the Currency Converter option to convert between your preferred currency type to the organization’s accepted currency type.

Select your donation type.

Select the original donation date, which is the date you made your donation outside of the platform.

You can add a designation to your donation if you are making the donation on behalf of someone or another entity.

If you have a donation match available that you want to use, see Apply a match.

If enabled, you may attach the donation receipt in the Upload your proof of donation field. This may be required by your organization, or it may be optional.

Select Checkout Now or Add to My Cart.

If you select Checkout Now, you will be redirected to your cart automatically.
If you select Add to My Cart, you can choose to continue exploring organizations before completing your donation. To complete your donation later, select your cart.

Select the Edit icon if you want to change any of your donation details.

Select the Delete icon if you want to remove your donation from the cart.

Select Checkout.
