Voting Engagement Element

Voting Engagement Elements (EEs) capture data from users in your community. You can poll users to help make decisions, reward excellence, learn about employee needs, and more.

Each employee can cast a single vote. You can capture votes across the employee base or by segment. Reports of voting results are available at CSRconnect Admin Portal, Report, Standard Reports, Other.

Note: Voting EE text fields support custom translations.

  1. Go to the CSRconnect Admin Portal, Engagements, Manage Engagements.

  2. Select Create New.

  3. Choose Voting Page, then Select.

  4. Enter Details for this EE.

    • Title: Maximum 30 characters

    • Call to Action: Maximum 45 characters

    • When you save the EE, a URL will appear in the Engagement Element URL field.

  5. Upload a Home Page Image and Banner Image.

    • Recommended sizes 1024 x 780 pixels. JPG, PNG, or GIF.

    • The Home Page Image will appear under Featured if this EE displays on the home page. The Banner Image appears on this EE's page.

    • You can elect to reuse the Home Page Image for the Banner Image.

    • Select Adjust Image to preview your images and set a focal point. The focal point is the prioritized area when the image needs to be cropped. Select Save Focal Point, then Close.

  6. Enter a Vote Count Label to describe what is being counted, if desired. The default Vote Count Label is "Votes Counted".

  7. Select Hide Counter if you wish to hide the current vote count from non-admins.

    Tip: The Vote counter shows results in real time. If you initially hide the count, you can edit the EE to show the count at a later time.

  8. Enter your EE's Active and Voting Dates and select a Time Zone.

    • Starting Date & Time and End Date & Time control when your EE can be visible to employees.

      Tip: You may want the EE to appear "active" before and after voting (not just during), so users can prepare to vote and discuss results.

  9. Enter an About Section Header and Body Text for the About Section.

    Note: If you're working with a Customer Success Manager to add custom HTML from a Blackbaud template, enter it here according to their detailed instructions.

  10. Enter text for the Voting Section.

    • Voting Section Header: Maximum 35 characters.

    • Vote Button Labels: Maximum 20 characters. Optional. Default is "Submit Your Vote."

    • Voting Instructions: Maximum 500 characters. Optional.

  11. Add Vote Cards, which are the options users can select when voting.

  12. For each option in the poll, create a vote card.

    1. Select Add Another Voting Card.

    2. Enter a Card Title. Maximum 35 characters.

    3. Select Add Image to upload an image. Recommended size: 240 x 120 pixels.

      Tip: We recommend using images that are the same size for each vote card.

    4. Enter a Card Description.

  13. Enter a Success Modal Message to appear to users after they submit their vote.

  14. Enter an Email Message that will appear in the confirmation email users receive after voting.

  15. Select Save Changes.

    • Your EE will publish and expire automatically based on the start and end dates you set. If you want this EE to appear on the home page and in navigation, enable Show On Home for this EE from Manage Engagements.
