Donation Types

Employees can create and log charitable donations using the following donation types, if enabled for your community.

In some cases, donation types are also configurable by feature. For example, you can allow payroll donations in your community, but disable them for a Giving Engagement Element.

Note: If you do not see a donation type option, that donation type may not be enabled for your community or the relevant feature. Contact your Customer Success Manager to configure your community's donation types.

Credit Card

These are donations made using a credit card method. Default credit card types that we currently acknowledge are Visa, Discover, Amex, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Visa Checkout (Wallet).

Note: Individual processors, such as CanadaHelps, may support fewer credit card types.

The maximum credit card donation amount is $10.00 and the maximum is $50,000.00.

Credit card donations can be one-time donations or a recurring donation.

Payroll

A payroll program allows your employees to make donations that are automatically deducted from their paychecks. These can be one-time payroll donations or a recurring payroll pledge that deducts donations on a regular schedule.

Offline

These are donations made outside of the application and are retroactively entered. Logging an offline donation allows employees to request employer match for donations made outside of CSRconnect.
