Reorder Charity Custom Designations
When setting custom designations for a charity, you can now customize the display order. For more information, see Charity custom designations.
Note: Custom designations will appear between General Support and the rest of the default designations.
Donation record and confirmation email updated
For donations processed through The Blackbaud Giving Fund, we have updated the language in donation records and credit card donation confirmation emails. To view the updated language, see the Donation Confirmation for Credit Card Donations email in the Email Library.
Volunteer
Enhanced VTO program management layout
We’ve improved the admin Volunteer Time Off (VTO) approval experience to more easily identify programs and understand where action is needed. These updates help to quickly manage approvals and requests across your teams.
-
Search for programs by name.
-
A new Approval Type column shows how each program is approved:
-
Automatic
-
Manager
-
Super Admin
-
-
The Pending Request column is now labeled Requests for clarity.
-
Super Admin-approval programs display “X Pending Requests” (with “X” being the number of requests).
-
Manager-approval programs display “View Requests.”
These changes streamline program management, reduce confusion, and help to provide quick responses.
Improved VTO request management experience
We’ve updated the VTO Manage Request page to provide a consistent experience with match programs and make it easier for admins to review and manage requests.
-
This page now mirrors the match program UI, including a button layout for a familiar approval experience.
-
For manager approval programs, request details now include the manager’s name and email.
-
Search by email, employee ID, name, and manager email to quickly find requests.
-
All requests display by default, not just pending requests.
-
Sort requests by listing oldest or newest requests first. The default is newest to oldest.
-
The VTO record now shows the approval type for better clarity.
-
View the full history of requests for all approval types.
These updates present a consistent interface, improve visibility, and enhance efficiency for managing and tracking requests.
Note: While other roles can see requests, they cannot take action on them.
Sort event participants in Manage Participants
To help you find event participants more quickly, you can now sort the event participants list in Manage Participants. You can sort participants alphabetically by last name or by their signup date.
For more about managing events, see Manage events and projects.
Reward Programs
Set match programs to active or inactive in bulk
To help manage match programs more efficiently and reduce manual errors, administrators and Customer Success Managers (CSMs) can now update multiple programs in bulk.
With this enhancement, they can:
-
Select checkboxes for multiple programs or use the header checkbox to select all displayed programs.
-
Change selected programs from Inactive to Active, or vice versa.
-
Update all selected programs to active or inactive from the All list.
-
Search for programs by keyword (for example, “2025”) and select from filtered results.
-
Review and confirm changes before applying them.
This enhancement streamlines program status management by enabling bulk updates instead of handling each match program individually. For more information, see Match programs.
Reporting
New Match Custom Questions data feed now available
We’ve introduced a dedicated data feed for matching custom questions to improve flexibility and reporting. Previously, Custom Question data feeds were limited to volunteer-specific use cases.
With this update, the new data feed:
-
Remains separate from the existing volunteer-specific Custom Questions data feed.
-
Supports intake, storage, and retrieval of matching custom questions. Note that uploads for custom questions are not available in the data feed.
-
Integrates with existing analytics and reporting tools for streamlined insights.
This enhancement ensures consistent data handling across all custom question types and provides better control and visibility for matching workflows.
See Data feeds for details. If your community is interested in activating this data feed, contact your CSM.
