FAQs
There is no additional fee for the Request Vetting experience.
-
International: The Request Vetting feature does not change existing vetting protocols, but instead allows end users to launch the process. At this time, we are experiencing an average of thirty to sixty days for Equivalency Determination (ED) vetting. This timing can vary depending on the responsiveness of the nonprofit to submit their application.
-
Domestic: Because much of the vetting criteria for domestic nonprofits is already fulfilled by their inclusion in the IRS Business Master File and Publication 78 File, the remaining portions can be completed and validated more quickly than with international vetting. This timing can vary depending on the responsiveness of the nonprofit to submit their application.
It is not recommended to use the Request Vetting feature if your Giving Campaign lasts less than one month. You can work with your Customer Success Manager to better understand which organizations are subject to vetting and determine the best decision is for your Giving Campaign.
ED vetting is a process by which a US grantmaker evaluates whether an intended foreign grantee is the equivalent of a US public charity. The grantmaker must collect a set of detailed information about the grantee's operations and finances and make a reasonable determination of its equivalency.
