Usage Insights

Usage Insights allows you to see login and page view activity within your community. You can view which areas of the community are most visited by your employees within a given date range. Data includes page views, total logins, employee visits, and more, broken down by feature.

For example, use this report to:

  • Determine how many unique users visited the site for a specific initiative.

  • Identify which volunteer events or Engagement Elements are most popular.

  • Identify which countries were most active on the site during the last 90 days.

Note: This dashboard excludes any login activity involving user impersonation.

You can access Usage Insights from CSRconnect Admin Portal, Reports, Insights Dashboard, Usage Insights. You must have the Can Access Usage Insights permission. See Manage roles.

Using Usage Insights

By default, the Usage Insights dashboard will display data for the past 7 days. To adjust your date range, select the Edit icon next to Viewing. Usage data is available for the past 365 days.

Page views are unique per user login. For example, if a user logs in and views a page three times, this counts as one view of that page. If the same user were to log in three separate times and view the same page, that would count as three page views.

Once you have selected your date range, you can view the following data:

  • Total Logins: The total amount of logins within the date range.

    Note: This value can include multiple logins by the same employee.

  • Unique Employees: The total number of unique employees that made up your total logins.

  • Insight Statements: This carousel displays top values for the most used feature, the most active location, and the most viewed Engagement Element.

  • Feature Usage by Page Views: The total number of page views for Volunteering, Giving, Groups, and Community.

  • Top 10 Locations by IP Address: The top 10 locations of users by IP location that have logged into the community in the selected time frame. 

    Note: This value can include multiple logins by the same employee.

  • Volunteering: Primary Page Views: Total page views within the Volunteer feature set, including Search Opportunities, Event Page, Create Event, and Manage Event.

  • Volunteering: Top Events by Page Views: A list of the top 10 events that have been viewed within the community.

  • Giving: Primary Page Views: Total page views within the Giving feature set, including Search Organizations, Charity Page, and Record a Fundraiser.

  • Giving: Top Organizations by Page Views: A list of the top 10 organizations that have been viewed within the community.

  • Groups: Primary Page Views: Total page views within the Groups feature set, including Group Program View and Group Page.

  • Groups: Top Groups by Page Views: A list of the top 10 Groups that have been viewed within the community.

  • Top Engagement Elements by Page Views: A total page view count for each active Engagement Element within the community.
