Generate Mailing Labels from a Basic or Advanced List (EAP)

Users with access to run a list can also use it to generate Mail labels, such as for use with a Mail merge communication. See Mail labels.

  1. Schools participating in the early adopter program (EAP) can use a "sneaky link" url to access a new experience for managing basic and advanced lists. When you join the EAP, save the link to your browser's bookmarks.

A list of basic and advanced lists appears.

Note: Not in the EAP? See basic lists and advanced lists instead.

  2. Choose which Columns of data to show.

Then Filter and sort the list.

  3. Search for a specific list. When you find the list, select the ellipsis (...) at the beginning of its row.

  4. Select Mailing labels.

  5. Select the Label type.

  6. Select whether to include the Student grad year, current Classification, or Neither for students or candidates.

  7. Select a Salutation format.

  8. If the mailing list is student-related, you can select to include users who have Parental access, are Listed as parents, or Both.

  9. Select Generate Report. A preview of the results appears. Review the labels with merged data.

  10. Select View/print .pdf (Adobe) or View/print Word (Microsoft .doc).

Tip: Ensure your internet browser allows pop ups.

  11. Review the preview. Then select Download or Print (top right corner).

The file is downloaded to your local computer or printed based on your internet browser settings.

Tip: Alternatively, run the list and then generate Mail labels from the results. You can also generate labels as part of a Mail merge job.
