Home Page Permissions

Home relies on permissions just like other areas of Financial Edge NXT. If you don't see a specific tile, contact your admin. To understand access requirements, review the permission details below.

Updates

Everyone can view and use this tile. Additional permissions aren't required.

Tiles

Tiles are based on user permissions. For more details, see Roles.

Favorite queries — Requires access to the applicable query. To view, make sure Access queries (standard) is selected under Query tasks for Accounts receivables roles. To edit and run queries from the tile's menu, make sure Others can modify and Others can run are selected, or that you've created the query yourself. For more details, see Query Security.

Favorite reports — Requires access to the applicable report. To edit and generate from the tile's menu, make sure Others can edit this report and Others can generate this report are selected, or that you've created the report yourself. For more details, see Add a Report.

Bank accounts — Requires access permission for bank accounts.

Credit card accounts — Requires access permission for credit card accounts.

Closing assistant — Requires access to General ledger.

Add-ins

For users to see Add-in tiles and links to add to Home, a user with permission to manage Marketplace applications must connect applications with SKY Add-ins to your Blackbaud environment. From Security, Role management, search for and edit the Marketplace roles. Then, select Show permissions for Marketplace application tasks and make sure that role has Connect, Applications permission selected.
