Applicant and Grantee Portal
The new Applicant and Grantee Portal became available for all Blackbaud Grantmaking customers globally in June of 2024 and provides significant benefits over the Legacy (IGAM) solution. We have redesigned the end-to-end experience for applicants and grantees through this new Portal and encourage you to download the Applicant and Grantee Portal Transition Checklist, and visit the Help File, Frequently Asked Questions, and Customer Success resource page for further details and help navigating and learning about the experience.
Features that are in progress
While all customers are strongly encouraged to begin using the new Portal straightaway, there are a small number of specific enhancements planned for release that are not yet available, so please bookmark this page to track details and timelines. Multiple Responses on Requirements — We’re enhancing applicant fields to support multiple responses, making it easier to collect recurring updates like quarterly and final grant progress reports using the same fields.

Reject applications — Admins can reject single or multiple applications with a reason, comments, and optional correspondence—no duplicate check or linking required.

Multi-stage applications workflows - You can now generate Stage 2 (and subsequent stage) applications for grants whose Stage 1 was submitted through the legacy applicant portal.

You can now view pending applications that are awaiting review, applications sent back for revision, and requirements that need action.

Branch security enhancements - The Forms Portal now enforces branch security: users only see applications that belong to their assigned branch.

Branch assignment preserved through consideration - When an application is submitted with a branch assignment and then considered, the resulting Request record now inherits the correct branch from the application rather than defaulting to the branch of the user performing the consideration.

Enhanced duplicate check when considering pending applications - We’re excited to introduce an improvement to the Duplicate Check functionality in Blackbaud Grantmaking. This enhancement allows you to select which fields to update when performing a Consider action. This helps accurately link application data to existing Organization and Contact records entered in Blackbaud Grantmaking.

Improved duplicate search for Organizations and Contacts - When no exact match appears during consideration, you can now search for the correct organization or contact using multiple filters (Name, Tax ID, State/Province, Postal Code, Organization ID). Search fields pre-fill from the applicant's submitted data to speed up the lookup.
