Giving in Numbers Survey Response Guide (CECP)

Use the Giving in Numbers Survey Response Guide, or CECP Report, to respond to CECP's annual Giving in Numbers survey. The CECP Report includes data from CSRconnect, GrantsConnect, and Candid, compiled specifically to help you respond to the survey.

CECP Report filters include:

  • Start and End Date

  • Employee Type

  • Employee Status Code

  • Donation Status Category

  • Reporting Currency

Total Community Investment

View your organization’s total community investment for the selected time period. Each metric also displays how that metric’s performance compares to the previous year.

Totals by Program Type

Use Candid’s Subject Codes to analyze your impact by charity areas of focus. See Subjects in the Candid Philanthropy Classification System to learn more about the subjects hierarchy.

Tip: Subject Code Level 2 values are nested under Subject Code Level 1 in Candid’s Subject Code hierarchy. Select Expand All to view all Level 2 Subject Codes nested within the table.

Engagement Breakdown

View the employee engagement rate for your programs. Engagement rates are the number of employees who have participated in a specific program, divided by the total number of employees.

Matching Gifts

To align your giving data to CECP’s preferred breakdown, we recommend using the Transaction Medium field to analyze your data. Transaction Medium shows which pages in CSRconnect are engaging your employees most.

Employee Volunteer Programs

To align your volunteering data to CECP’s preferred breakdown, we recommend using the Volunteer Campaign, Event Type, Event Category, and Event Tags fields to analyze your data. These fields show what kinds of volunteer opportunities are engaging your employees the most.

Tip: Dollars for Doers engagement is captured in the Engagement Breakdown chart.

Tip: CECP considers the country your organization is headquartered in as "Domestic" and other countries as "International".
