Configure an Autoresponder

On the Configure Autoresponder process page, set up an Autoresponder thank-you email to send automatically to advocates who take action on your alert. The thank-you is always sent by default unless you modify the settings on this page.
Note: Although this step is optional, you must click Next or Save to save the configuration even if you made no changes; otherwise, you cannot publish the alert.
Use the Version to Send menu to send the existing site default version (default setting), create a customized version, or choose not to send an Autoresponder email at all. Use the Preview button before saving to see how the email will appear to advocates.
Create a customized autoresponder for this alert

From the Version to Send drop-down menu, Select one of the following options from the drop-down menu:

Send the version editable below - Send a customized autoresponder that you create here (based on the site default version).

Send the site default version - (For this option to work, the Autoresponder Center must have an Active Version of this autoresponder.) Select this option to use the existing site default version. Click Preview to see how it looks as email.

Do not send any version - Select this option if you do not want users to receive an autoresponder thank-you email.

Click Save.

Edit the Email Envelope fields as needed:

Sender's Name
-
Sender's Email
-
Subject
-
Style - Select a stationery option. (Stationery is created and managed in the Stationery application.)

Edit the HTML Body. You can enter or delete text, insert images and links, create tables, apply styles, and add colors or other formatting. See Luminate Online Content Editor (WYSIWYG)

Click the Update Plain Text from HTML button to update the plain-text content to match your edited HTML content.

Review the plain-text in the Text Body field and edit as necessary. For example, make sure the spacing between paragraphs carries over and that there are adequate text lead-in words for links. Even if you do not edit this text, a plain-text version is sent to Constituents as needed.

Click Save.

Click Preview to see how your custom autoresponder will look as HTML and plain text email. The preview includes unsaved in-progress edits. When you are done, click Close to return to the process page.

Repeat the previous two steps until you are satisfied with this autoresponder.

Click Next to save and go to the next process page: Thank You Page Options.
