Thank You Page Options

On this page, choose what to display to advocates after they take action on your alert. For example, you can include a page with the Tell-a-Friend feature to enable your constituents to pass the alert on to others. You can also redirect advocates to a page within or outside your Luminate Online site.

For an Action Alert only, the Tell-a-Friend option displays on either the Thank You for Taking Action page (One Step alert), or the Confirm Action page (Two Step alert).

Configure Thank You Page options:

  1. Select a Thank You Page option to determine what to display after advocates take action on this alert:

    • Thank You only - Display a thank-you page, either the default or one that you customize. (For instructions to customize the page, see Configuring Action Alert Pages or Configuring LTE Alert Pages.)

    • Redirect to URL - Redirect advocates to a different URL without displaying a Thank You page. For instance, you may wish to direct them to a fundraising page on your site that is focused on the same issue.

    • Thank You + Tell-a-Friend, then Tell-a-Friend confirmation - Display a Thank You page with the Tell-a-Friend feature, then display the standard Tell-a-Friend confirmation page (which usually includes a link to the site home page) after advocates complete the Tell-a-Friend form.

    • Thank You + Tell-a-Friend, then redirect to URL - Display a Thank You page with the Tell-a-Friend feature, then redirect advocates to a different URL after they complete the Tell-a-Friend form.

  1. (For options with a redirect URL) Do one of the following:

    • To redirect to a page outside your Luminate Online site, provide the URL of the target page in the text box.

    • To redirect to a target within yourLuminate Online site, click Select to open the Link Selector. Find your desired Link Target, and click its Insert link to insert the URL.

      If you selected an option with Tell-a-Friend, follow the remaining steps in this procedure to configure the feature. Otherwise, skip to the last step.

  2. Write or modify the Instructions for the Tell-a-Friend message, encouraging advocates to tell friends about the alert and explaining how to use the Tell-a-Friend feature.

  3. Create or modify the Tell-a-Friend Message Subject. Advocates can edit this field.

  4. Create or modify the Message Body. Advocates can edit this field. This is the message that advocates will pass on to their friends. A link to your alert will be inserted automatically in the Tell-a-Friend email.

  5. Do one of the following:

    • (For Action Alerts) Click Next to save and go to the next process page: Delivery Pacing (if delivery pacing is enabled for your site) or Design Alert.

    • (For LTE Alerts) Click Next to save and go to the next process page: Design Alert.
