Widget Banner Components
A Widget Banner Component is a small snippet of HTML code that identifies a graphical image and links it to a specific page (such as a donation form or TeamRaiser registration page) on your site as well as additional code that helps track metrics for the link (such as click-throughs).
For example, if the banner component is linked to a TeamRaiser registration form, the banner component could feature the race logo and then have instructions that say "Click the shoe to sign up and run this race on my team!"
Constituents who want to use the Banner Component will accept it, which displays the Get Snippet button that they click to see the HTML code. They can copy the code and paste it as HTML content anywhere they publish content. When a person clicks the linked image, the appropriate page displays.
You can set a suggested goal for the constituent to achieve (such as 10 registrations, 5 donors, or $1,000) depending on the Widget purpose. Constituents may also enter their own goal. The system tracks the click-throughs and actions taken and displays the information directly on the Widget that the constituent has accepted.
You can run a Widget report to gather information about your constituents who are using the Widget and when it is used.
Instead of a Banner Component, you can also add a Progress Component that features a progress meter as the linked image.
