Providing an Action Alert

If the Advocacy application is installed on your site, you can configure a component that shows a link to an Action Alert or Letter to the Editor Alert from which site visitors can select to take action. You have a choice of text, button, and image combinations. The component appears in the center of the content area where you insert it. In an HTML Content component, you can insert a component that lists alerts that apply to the Constituent viewing the page or information about a specific alert or you can insert a link to a specific alert. For instructions, refer to Linking to an Alert from the Main Site and the Luminate Online Content Editor Help.

Note: You can create a PageBuilder-hosted Action Alert by pasting the webform code from the Take Action page directly into a PageBuilder page (using the HTML Content component) and then customizing the code. If you do this, you must host each alert on its own page and adhere to the subject and new_msg input element naming convention (which appends the Alert ID to the input names).
