Create a New PageBuilder Page

Below are instructions to create your first PageBuilder page.

Getting started

Select Content, PageBuilder, and Create a New Page.

Alternatively, you may select Create a Single Component Page. The instructions are the same except that you will not be offered page layout options.

Identity page

  1. Enter a name and description. These help with searches and reports but are not shown to visitors.

  2. Select a security category. Choose who can manage this page (administrators and centers if enabled) can manage this page. See Managing Security for more information.

  3. Choose if the page is public (Users) or internal (Administrators).

  4. Select a Page Wrapper. See Page Wrapper for more details.

  5. Select a PageBuilder Content Folder to store this page in a group with related pages. This helps filter the Page List later.

    Note: Under Related Actions(left menu), you can Manage Content Folders. You may also select Manage Content Folders above the Page List without creating or editing a page.

  6. Choose the appropriate page security level:

    • This is a secure Page that will be encrypted via SSL.

    • This is a reusable Page that can be embedded in an HTML Component in other Pages.

    • This is a syndicated Page available for import by affiliate sites. You may Assign syndication channels if desired.

  7. Select Save.

    Tip: Note Direct URL for this page. After saving, find your page, the URL here. To return to this page and retrieve your URL later, select Edit Attributes in the Page List.

Identify version

  1. Enter a name. The name only appears in the version list.

  2. Enter a page title. The title appears in the web browser tab when the page is opened.

  3. Enter search keywords to help search engines find your page.

  4. Enter a page meta description to display in search results.

  5. Enter additional meta tags to add information like author or copyright, or code specific to this version like background color or font set.

Select page layout and add content

  1. Select a page layout. Select Show All Layouts for more options.

  2. Select Add Content.

Note: Adding content is highly customizable. Options are dependent on administrator permissions and site configuration. Review Add Content to a PageBuilder Page and create a test page to explore features.

Approve and publish

Under Related Actions (left menu), you can:

  • Preview the page with the Page Wrapper.

  • Generate an Accessibility Report to check compliance.

When ready, select Publish Now or Save and Finish to keep as a draft.
