Nuclavis Text Messaging

Nuclavis is your RCS/MMS messaging tool, fully integrated with Luminate Online TeamRaiser, designed to help you reach participants at exactly the right moment. You choose the audience and craft the message, then schedule when it should be sent. Once configured, Nuclavis handles delivery automatically, so you can focus on strategy while your messages reach the right people at the right time.

Text Message Formats

RCS (Rich Communication Service): Delivers a web-like experience with large media files and interactive buttons.

MMS (Multimedia Messaging Service): Provides fallback content with images, personalization, emojis, and links.

Get Started with Nuclavis

Navigate to TeamRaiser and select Nuclavis.

  • If you do not already have a Nuclavis account, select Contact Nuclavis.

  • If you have a Nuclavis account but have not set up your configurations, see Configure Settings for next steps.

Configure Sender Settings for Your Organization

These settings apply to all messages sent regardless of the TeamRaiser campaign.

  1. Enter your Display name. This is the name that appears to your audience. Keep this short, no more than 25 characters, and clear. If your recipients think the message is unsolicited SPAM, they will ignore or delete it without reading.

  2. Enter a Description.

  3. Add a logo or image. This banner makes your message look more professional. Do not exceed 1440 x 448 pixels.

  4. Add your URL such as your organization's homepage.

  5. Enter an organization, not personal, phone number and email address.

  6. Add URLs for your Privacy Policy and Terms of Service to stay compliant.

  7. Select an entity.

  8. Enter a Test Phone Number.  This needs to be the number of a physical phone, not VoIP, you plan to use for testing your content before you send it to your audience.

    Tip: Test on a variety of devices set for both light and dark modes, and try out your message with some accessibility tools like a screen reader too.

  9. Select Submit.

Add a Text Message

  1. Go to TeamRaiser and select Nuclavis.

  2. From One-Time Text Messages, select Add Text Message.

  3. Give your message an Internal Name that can be used for search and reports.

  4. Create your RCS message.

    1. Enter a title. Select the smiley face emoji to view emoji options.

    2. Enter a message with no more than 1,000 characters. Select the wand icon to personalize the content or the smiley face icon to view emojis.

    3. Upload a media file. This could be an image, video, or audio file no larger than 10MB.

      Note: Recommended image size is 1140x764, with 25% buffer at the top and bottom, and 10% buffer on each side.

    4. Add a button. Select a URL and enter the button text.

  5. Create your MMS message.

    1. Enter a message with no more than 500 characters. Select the link icon to add a link, the wand icon to personalize the content, or the smiley face icon to view emojis.

    2. Upload a media file. This could be an image, video, or audio file no larger than 1MB.

      Note: Recommended image size is 1140x764, with 25% buffer at the top and bottom, and 10% buffer on each side.

  6. Select the Event Program, the Event, and audience Segment.

  7. Schedule when to send your message.

  8. Select Preview or Save.

View a Saved Text Message

  1. Go to TeamRaiser and select Nuclavis.

  2. Find your message in the list and select View.

  • Preview both RCS and MMS versions.

  • Compare layouts and media presentations.

  • Ensure buttons, links, and personalization fields display correctly.

Text message reports

Available Reports include:

  • Performance Summary Report: Compare message performance across campaigns.

  • Performance Details Report: View recipient details, delivery status, message type, and user actions (click-through, unsubscribe).

  • Recipient Activity Report: Track all messages sent to a specific user, including actions taken.

Run Text Message Reports

  1. Either from the message list or Related Actions, select Reports.

  2. Select the desired report type.

  3. Choose event(s), message(s), and time range.

  4. Generate the report.

  5. Refresh results as needed.

  6. Download reports as CSV files for further analysis.

Practical Tips

  • Increase engagement with personalization and emojis.

  • Attach rich media for RCS messages to create a more interactive experience.

  • Schedule messages to align with event milestones or deadlines.

  • Regularly review performance reports to optimize future communications.
