Create a Security Group and Assign Permissions

The easiest way to create a custom security group is to create the Security Group first, add members to the group, and then assign permissions to the group.

Create a Security Group

  1. Click Constituent360 > Groups or Setup > Groups.

  2. Click one of the following tabs:

    • Administrator Group List if the group will contain administrators with your organization.

    • User Group List if the group will contain constituents.

  3. Click Add New Group.

  4. Enter a Name and a Description.

  5. In the Security Mode field, select:

    • Administrator Security Group if the members are administrators with your organization

    • User Security Group if the members are constituents

      Tip: Not a Security Group is not an applicable option for this procedure. See Groups.

  6. In Group Type, select a folder to store your group in the Group List, or select the blank field and enter a name for a new folder.

  7. Click Save.
