TeamRaiser Integration with Facebook Updates

Note: Blackbaud worked with Meta to address the 2023 move from Meta Pay to PayPal Giving Fund as the payment processor on Meta platforms. Learn more about this change in Facebook’s help page, Meta’s partnership with PayPal Giving Fund. To take payments in Meta platforms, you must enroll in PayPal Giving Fund. Important changes are coming for TeamRaiser Integration with Facebook Fundraising.

In the updated integration with Meta, participants continue to raise money through Meta networks, such as Facebook, and the money raised continues to appear in their TeamRaiser fundraising totals.

However, there are important differences that require your action to enable the new integration and manage donations from Meta.

By September 8, you must complete the first set of required updates to use Meta Pay. After the updates are complete, you will no longer need a Facebook app for the integration.

The second change, from Meta Pay to PayPal Giving Fund, will require you to have a PayPal Giving Fund account and understand the impact to your organization for existing integrated fundraisers.
