Local Companies
Local Companies in TeamRaiser support a single fundraising event. When the Local Companies feature is enabled, you can create company profiles, track their contributions, and associate them with participating teams.
Local companies can:
Sponsor teams by covering registration fees or making direct donations
Support employee involvement by encouraging team formation
Foster a sense of community and friendly competition to boost fundraising
You can create as many Local Companies as needed and organize them into hierarchies by assigning parent-child relationships. This allows for flexible structuring based on how companies operate locally.
Note: This differs from Cross-Event Companies that encourage employees to join teams that they sponsor in several different types of events.
Sponsors
If a company is not forming teams but wants to contribute financially, you can add it as a sponsor directly from the Local Companies tab.
If a company is both forming teams and wants to contribute financially, use the Add a New Company option, then define sponsorship details using the Define Sponsorship Details action.
Prospective Sponsors
You can add a company as a prospect if they haven’t yet committed to sponsorship or team participation. This allows you to:
Track the initial outreach
Confirm them as a sponsor once a contribution is received
Executive Champions
Each Local Company can have an Executive Champion — a designated contact who serves as the main liaison for the company’s involvement in the event. This role is distinct from the Company Coordinator, who works more closely with the company’s teams.
Executive Champion: Oversees general company engagement
Company Coordinator: Manages team-level logistics and communication
