What's New - NPOconnect Release 1.54.0
Note: This release is scheduled for June 9, 2022 at 8 PM ET.
The latest release of NPOconnect includes updates to the product’s interface, a new process for International Vetting applications, enhancements to Volunteer Events emails, and more!
User interface
NPOconnect user interface has been redesigned to enhance usability and update styling
With this release, NPOconnect’s user interface has been revised to make it easier for you to navigate the product, keep your profile up to date, and perform the actions required to manage your nonprofit.
This redesign features updates to the styling used throughout NPOconnect. In addition, all actions with the exception of those in the Notifications panel on the My Workspace page have been moved to the navigation panel on the left side of the interface, providing a central location where you can access your profile and NPOconnect areas alike.
Nonprofits that use YourCause’s GrantsConnect solution will notice many similarities with this new design, including:
-
The navigation panel can now be collapsed and expanded, allowing you to see more of what matters.
-
You can easily access your account by selecting the profile button in the navigation panel.
-
Select the power button to quickly log out of NPOconnect.
-
Important alerts and notifications will now appear in a banner at the top of the screen.
Vetting
New International Nonprofit Vetting Application process set to launch on June 10, 2022
Beginning June 10, 2022, organizations based outside of the United States that want to be added to YourCause can now apply for vetting in NPOconnect. This new process involves registering as a Nonprofit Administrator in NPOconnect and then completing the International Nonprofit Vetting Application through our vetting application platform, GrantsConnect. The information gathered in the application helps our team determine if your organization is eligible to receive charitable funds through the Blackbaud Giving Fund (BBGF).
Note: For more information about this process, view our International Vetting Guide.
Note: Organizations that are supported by our partners - including CanadaHelps, GiveIndia, Charities Trust, Global Giving, and Haus des Stiftens - may be required to become vetted by that partner instead of completing this new process in NPOconnect. For more information, see our International Processing Partners resources.
Volunteer Events
New options to email a subset of participants and customize the Reply-to information for Volunteer Events communications
With this release, there are several new options for communicating with participants signed up for a Volunteer Event in NPOconnect. This includes:
-
Select a subset of participants to email from a new Send email bulk action on the Volunteering > Volunteer Events > Participants page.
-
Modify the Reply-to name and Reply-to address that is included with the email to a name and email address of your choice.
Note: For more information about sending emails to event participants, see Email Event Participants.

Administration
Option to remove all Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) now available
When managing your organization’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and targets, you now have the option to remove all goals, targets, and dedicated percentages from your profile. This update is intended to help organizations whose goals may have changed or need to be redistributed to reset these settings rather than remove and edit each goal individually.
Note: It is still encouraged to showcase your Global Goals on your nonprofit profile. For more information, see our Choose Your Sustainable Development Goals.
Other
Flyout help replaced with links to our Resource Center
In previous iterations of NPOconnect, you could open flyout help by selecting the Show help button in areas like Payments and Transactions. With this update, this button has been renamed to Need help? and the flyout help has been replaced with a direct link to the corresponding help materials in our Resource Center. This feature is now available in additional areas within NPOconnect, including Disbursement Information, Compliance / Affirmations, Volunteer Events, and more.
Microsoft Internet Explorer 11 web browser will no longer be supported after June 30, 2022
NPOconnect will no longer support the Microsoft Internet Explorer 11 (IE 11) web browser after June 30, 2022. A banner notification will appear in the application prompting users to move to an alternate browser before this deadline to avoid any issues accessing the application.
Note: For more information, see Web Browser Support.
Additional updatesNPOconnect’s system emails have been updated with the goal of improving their deliverability and readability. This includes back-end changes, modifications to font size, and the addition of an unsubscribe header that should help to reduce the likelihood of outgoing emails being flagged as Spam.
