Vetting Renewal: Blackbaud Giving Fund International

If your organization is vetted by the Blackbaud Giving Fund (BBGF) International must renew, you must renew your vetting status every two (2) years.

Note: This guide is for organizations vetted through the BBGF International. Organizations vetted through our global partners or global intermediary partners should contact their vetting partner to determine if renewal is required to maintain vetting status.

Renewal Notice

When it's time for your organization to renew vetting, an email notification is sent to all active nonprofit administrators for your organization. This email includes vetting expiration date, steps to complete renewal, and details on documents needed.

Tip: Your vetting status is always shown on the Vetting tile in Administration in your Blackbaud Verified Network account. From here, you can also view the expiration date to ensure you have time to reapply without disrupting your organization's eligibility for giving.

How To Renew Vetting

The process to renew vetting is similar to your initial application process. Follow the steps in How To Get Vetted Through Blackbaud Giving Fund International to learn how to register as a nonprofit administrator for your organization if you aren't already and initiate the vetting renewal process in your Blackbaud Verified Network account (Administration, then Vetting).

You will be invited to complete your renewal application in YourCause GrantsConnect. Because your organization has been vetted before, your application process to renew should be simpler since the renewal application will be pre-populated with the answers and governing documents provided by your organization when you last submitted a vetting application. If any of the prepopulated documents have been updated by your organization, you will be able to remove the existing documents and upload updated documents.

Required updated documents that will not be prepopulated and must be submitted are:

  • Audited Financial Statements

  • Annual Activities Report

  • Public Support Test

Once you submit your Vetting Application, you will either receive a revision request if additional information is needed or you will receive an email confirmation once your Vetting Application has been approved. Once approved, your organization’s eligibility for charitable giving will be 2 years from the most recent financial report provided.

Tip: To learn more about revisions, see Complete Revision Requests in the GrantsConnect Help.
