Appeal Management

Appeals are the solicitations used to bring in gifts, such as through direct mailings, online donation pages, phonathons, auctions, or events. To organize and track your fundraising appeals, you can add new appeals, edit existing appeals, view a list of appeals in a searchable format, and delete appeals that don’t have active dependencies.
From Gifts, Appeals, use the following tools to manage your appeal-list view:

Create an appeal.

Narrow down results with category filters.

Search for specific appeals.

Select to show only active appeals.

Sort columns to organize by appeal ID, description, category, start date, end date, or active.

Select New appeal.

Enter your appeal information:

Appeal ID (required)
-
Description (required)
-
Start and end dates
-
Category: Continuous, Event, Direct Mail, Major Donors, Membership, Prospect, Semi-Annual, or a custom category
-
Goal
-
Default gift amount
-
Active or inactive
-
-
Select Save.

From Gifts, Appeals, select an appeal or its context menu to view the appeal record’s details.

Select Edit to edit the appeal’s details, then save your changes.
In the appeal record header, you can add a summary note for the appeal, as well as view goal progress at a glance.
Appeal Records include detailed information about the fundraising initiative. You can filter the appeal record by Received or Committed, or filter on a specific gift timeframe.
Note: You can edit Custom Fields and Attachments from the appeal record. Editing capabilities for additional sections will be included in future updates.

Open the appeal you want to delete.

Select Edit, then select Delete appeal.
Note: Deletion is permanent and may not be allowed if the appeal is associated with a record. You’ll need to resolve any associations before you can delete the appeal.
