Fundraising Analysis Recipes
In Analysis, Fundraising dashboards, you can apply filters to easily create dashboards of frequently-used analysis. Think of these as recipes for some favorite dishes, with the filters as the main ingredients. Apply additional filters to add your own flavor!

To help identify and group like fundraising efforts, your organization can categorize campaigns by their intent, such as Annual expenses. To help gauge your annual giving performance, you can apply filters to analyze only your active annual campaigns.

In Analysis, Fundraising dashboards, select Campaigns.

In the Campaign category filter, select Clear, choose the category your organization uses to identify annual campaigns (such as Annual), and select Apply.

In the Active filter, select Clear, True, and Apply.

Analyze your annual campaigns as necessary.

To view the record of an annual campaign, select its name. To open its record, select View record. For more information, see Campaign Records.

For a list of the gifts received toward an annual campaign, select its Revenue or Number of gifts total under Progress to goals. To analyze specific giving toward annual campaigns, use the Gift date or Revenue filters.
Tip: To save the list for later use, select Create list and then Save. You can save it as a new list in the web view or a static query in the database view, such as for a global change or mail process. For more information, see Lists.

To help describe actions, your organization can configure types based on action categories. For example, for a category of Mailing, you may set up additional types of Birthday and Inquiry. To help identify gaps in your data, you can apply filters to the Actions dashboard to analyze those with no type selected.

In Analysis, Fundraising dashboards, select Actions.

In the Action type filter, select Clear, (empty value), and Apply.

For a list of the actions with no type, select the Actions total under Action overview.

To edit the type for an action in the list:

From the action's menu
, select Edit action.

In the Type field, choose the additional detail your organization tracks to further categorize the action.

Select Save.
Tip: To save the list for later use, select Create list and then Save. You can save it as a new list in the web view or a static query in the database view, such as for a global change or mail process. For more information, see Lists.

To ensure actions are completed, you can assign them to fundraisers to perform the task or interaction. To help identify actions to assign to fundraisers, you can apply filters to the Actions dashboard to analyze those with no assignment.

In Analysis, Fundraising dashboards, select Actions.

In the Action assigned to filter, select Clear, None found, and Apply.

For a list of the actions with no fundraiser, select the Actions total under Action overview.

To assign a fundraiser to an action in the list:

From the action's menu
, select Edit action.

In the Assign to field, search for or select who should perform the action.

Select Save.
Tip: To save the list for later use, select Create list and then Save. You can save it as a new list in the web view or a static query in the database view, such as for a global change process. For more information, see Lists.

Tip: To save a dashboard's filters for your personal reuse, select Unsaved View, Save current view. After you save a view, you can receive a PDF of the dashboard as an email at a regular interval. For more information, see Saved Views of Dashboards and PDFs or Spreadsheets of Dashboards.
