Payment Attempts Statuses
Payment attempts display with each attempt to process the recurring gift's payment, and include their date and status. On the day the installment is ready to process, as the payment progresses through to a successful or failed result, it will have multiple statuses. Pending start
The payment attempt is scheduled for today.
Pending completion
The payment attempt is in progress.
Error: retry possible
The payment attempt failed due to a soft rejection and a retry is possible. For more information, see Recurring Gift Payment Processing.
Failure: retries exhausted
The payment attempt failed due to a soft rejection and multiple retries were unsuccessful for the installment period. For more information, see Gift Management Settings.
Failure: unable to retry
The payment attempt failed due to a hard rejection. For more information, see Recurring Gift Payment Processing.
Payment successful
The payment attempt successfully processed.
