Payment Configurations for Donation Forms

For Blackbaud Donation Forms to process payments, your organization must have a Blackbaud Payment Service account and at least one payment configuration in your Blackbaud Merchant Services account. A payment configuration includes information about the gateway, access credentials, fraud protection options, currencies, and credit card types your processor supports.

If the account has only one payment configuration, the form automatically connects to it. If your account has more than one payment configuration, you will choose one when you configure a form.

Verify Donation Forms Permissions

To view payment configurations in donation forms, you must have the View permission for donation forms. To learn more about permissions, see Donation Forms Security.

  1. From Security, Role management, select Blackbaud app roles.

  2. Under Donation form roles, select the admin's role.

  3. Select Show permissions.

  4. Verify that View is selected under Donation forms permissions. If it is not selected, select it and save the role.

Verify a Payment Configuration Exists

After you confirm Blackbaud Payment Services credentials are correct, verify at least one payment configuration exists.

  1. From the Blackbaud Merchant Services Web Portal, select Control panel, Settings.

  2. Verify that there is a configuration under Account configurations.

Verify Currency and Country Settings

At least one payment configuration must match your organization’s country and currency. In the database view:

  • Verify the country under Configuration, General.

  • Verify the currency under Configuration, International.

To verify the country and currency settings for a payment gateway, from the Blackbaud Merchant Services Web Portal, navigate to Control panel, Settings.
