Constituent record management across tabs

You'll use three tabs — Matched, Unmatched, and Linked to manage how records from Luminate Online sync with Raiser’s Edge. Each tab supports different actions, such as merging matched records, creating new constituents, or linking existing ones. Understanding these tabs helps maintain data integrity and avoid duplicates.

Matched

Use this tab when incoming records from Luminate Online match existing records in Raiser's Edge. The record selected is merged with the processed record from Luminate Online, preventing creation of a duplicate record. Existing gifts, actions, and relationships are preserved unless you explicitly check boxes to remove the fields.

Note: When you bulk process on the All tab, the selected records are not merged. Instead, Raiser's Edge creates new constituent records for each selected record resulting in duplicates. Hence, It is best to process matched records individually.

Unmatched

Use this tab when no match is found in Raiser's Edge for an incoming record from Luminate Online. When a record is processed, a constituent is created in Raiser's Edge.

Linked

Use this tab to manage records that are already linked between Luminate Online and Raiser's Edge. You can unlink records if needed.
