Contributions

In Online Giving contributions are the gifts your organization receives through Blackbaud Donation Forms. Donors can give:

  • One-time gifts paid outright as a single payment.

  • Recurring Gifts paid at regular intervals of a donor's choosing, such as monthly gifts of $50.

From Contributions, you can:

After you receive a gift, the connection between Online Giving and your CRM automatically adds the gift to your CRM based on your connection preferences in Settings. From your CRM, you can view and refunds gifts.

Note: Blackbaud Altru doesn’t use a batch approval process. Instead, after you set up the connection, Online Giving creates the gifts in Altru.

To accept gifts in Contributions from Blackbaud Donation Forms, you will set up an automated connection to add donor and gift information to your CRM. To learn how to set up the connection, see Blackbaud CRM Connection or Blackbaud Altru Connection .

You can open a payment, view its details, and make changes to it from Contributions, Payments. To open the payment, select the amount under Gross amount.

Tip: To view the recurring gift plan from a recurring gift payment, select the amount under Recurring gift plan.
