Gift Options

When designing a Standard Donation Forms, you can choose the gift types to include, their amounts, and layout. To change gift options on a form, from Related Links select All donation forms and select Edit from the form's menu. Under Form, select Click to edit on the gift amounts.

To select the gift types for the form, under Get started, select Enable one-time gifts and Enable recurring gifts.

To make other changes to gift amounts, under Form, select Click to edit on the gift amounts.

To update the default gift type when using both one-time and recurring gifts on a form, make your selection under Options, Default gift type.

To choose the arrangement of gift amounts on a form or whether to give donors the option to enter their own gift amount, under Options, Ask ladder layout, select:

  • Horizontal ladder to display the amounts across the form.

  • Vertical ladder to display the amounts down the form.

    Tip: Only the vertical ladder will display the description of the amount.

  • Donor-entered amount only to display a place for the donor to enter their own gift amount. No other gift amounts display.

Under One-time and Recurring, you can:

  • Add, edit, and delete gift amounts.

  • Edit the button label.

  • Enable donors to enter their own gift amounts and set the minimum amount they can enter.

Note: For recurring gifts, you can select whether the first payment processes when the donor submits the form or on a date the donor selects.

Warning: Raiser's Edge NXT admins! First recurring payments won't process until you approve batches in Raiser's Edge NXT. To ensure payments process on the date donors expect, you should approve batches every day.
