Blackbaud CRM Connection Preferences

Online Giving uses an automated connection to add donors and gifts from Blackbaud Donation Forms to Blackbaud CRM. To manage your organization's connection, from Settings, select Preferences under CRM connection .

To connect gifts from Online Giving to Blackbaud CRM, in Gift connection you must set:

  • A batch template that includes specific fields that are necessary for the connection.

  • A GPC solicit code to add to constituent records when a donation form detects Global Privacy Control (GPC) in the donor's browser.

To connect gifts to Blackbaud CRM, in Cards and wallets, you must select the credit card types from Blackbaud CRM that map to card types in Online Giving.

Optionally, you can choose whether to track a payment's wallet type as a revenue reference in Blackbaud CRM, under Digital wallet tracking.

Note: Digital wallets such as Apple Pay and Google Pay appear as credit card payments in Blackbaud CRM.

Comments from donors appear as revenue notes on payments in Blackbaud CRM. You must choose a note type for these comments.

Changes to recurring gift statuses are tracked as revenue reason codes in Blackbaud CRM. You must choose which reason codes map to the recurring gift statuses in Online Giving.
