Blackbaud CRM Connection Preferences

Online Giving uses an automated connection to add donors and gifts from Blackbaud Donation Forms to Blackbaud CRM. To manage your organization's connection settings, from Settings, under CRM connection, select Preferences.

When you receive gifts through Blackbaud Donation Forms, they appear in enhanced revenue batches in Blackbaud CRM. Choose a batch template that contains the following fields:

  • Constituent

  • Amount

  • Date

  • Revenue type

  • Payment method

  • Application

  • Designation

  • Revenue ID

  • Card type

  • Reference

  • Reference No.

Tip: If your organization uses the Inbound channel field to track gifts, we recommend you set a default value for Online Giving when you create the batch template.

Under Card type mappings, choose which credit types from Blackbaud CRM  map to card types in Online Giving.

Under Digital wallet tracking, choose whether to track a payment's wallet type as a revenue reference in Blackbaud CRM.

Note: Digital wallets such as Apple Pay and Google Pay appear as credit card payments in Blackbaud CRM.

Comments from donors appear as revenue notes on payments in Blackbaud CRM. Choose which note type to assign.

Changes to recurring gift statuses are tracked as revenue reason codes in Blackbaud CRM. Choose which reason codes map to recurring gift statuses in Online Giving.
