Raiser's Edge NXT Connection Field Mapping
Tip: For information about how Online Giving connects to Blackbaud CRM, see Blackbaud CRM Connection Preferences.
Online Giving uses an automated connection to add donors and gifts from Blackbaud Donation Forms to Raiser's Edge NXT. For new and updated constituent records, choose the default values for internal fields that aren't captured on forms. For example, you can set Address to "Home" or "Work" and apply it automatically to addresses captured through forms.
Tip: To understand how the connection matches donors to existing constituents, see the Automatic Constituent Matching topic in the Raiser's Edge NXT help.
Note: The values you set in Online Giving also update the default settings for registration forms in Raiser's Edge NXT under Tools, Settings, Form settings.
To map Raiser's Edge NXT fields:
-
In Online Giving, select Settings.
-
Under Raiser's Edge NXT connection, select Field mappings.
-
Map the fields and select Save.
Select the type of email address to apply to the email addresses you capture through forms., such as such as Personal or Business.
Note: In Raiser's Edge NXT, select Control panel, Tables, manage email address types in the Phone Types table. For more information, see the Special Tables and Entries topic in the Raiser's Edge NXT help.
Select the type of address to apply to the addresses you capture through forms, such as Home or Work.
-
To mark new address as primary when existing constituents enter their addresses through forms, select Mark new addresses for existing constituents as primary. For example, if your organization spells out words such as Street or Lane and a constituent enters an abbreviation, duplicate detection identifies the difference as a new address.
-
To leave existing addresses that are properly formatted and marked primary, clear Mark new addresses for existing constituents as primary. Also, clearing Mark new addresses for existing constituents as primary saves new addresses as additional information on constituent records.
Note: In Raiser's Edge NXT, select Control panel, Tables, manage address types in the Address Types table. For more information, see the Tables topic in the Raiser's Edge NXT help.
Tip: To help identify new addresses, use an address type specifically for online forms. For example, create a “for review” address type and set it under Address mapping. When you’re ready to review the addresses, create a query in database view based on the “for review” address type, and then update them as necessary.
In NANP phone type and Other phone type, select the phone types to apply to the phone numbers you capture through forms, such as Cell or Home.
-
For NANP, select a phone type with a phone number format that follows the North American Numbering Plan (NANP).
-
For Other, select a phone type without a phone number format for all countries that do not follow the NANP.
Note: In Raiser's Edge NXT, select Control panel, Tables, manage phone types and their formats in the Phone Type table. For more information, see Special Tables and Entries topic in the Raiser's Edge NXT help.
Constituent codes define the affiliations constituents have with your organization, such as online donor. In Constituent code, select the code to apply to the constituents who complete donation forms. For more information, see the Constituent Codes topic in the Raiser's Edge NXT help.
Note: In Raiser's Edge NXT, select Control panel, Tables, manage constituent codes in the Constituent Codes table.
Tip: The constituent code mapping doesn't apply to online registration forms. To apply a constituent code to all new constituents created through a registration form, set it on the form. For more information, see the Online Registration Form Get Started topic in the Raiser's Edge NXT help.
