Blackbaud Merchant Services for New Users

Blackbaud Payment Service is a Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCI DSS) compliant vault for storing and processing credit cards. Blackbaud solutions use Blackbaud Payment Service to:

Securely store sensitive credit card, bank account, and merchant account information.

Replace credit card numbers with reference tokens in your database.
Note: To connect with payment gateways — such as Blackbaud Merchant Services or a third party gateway — you need Blackbaud Payment Service.
Blackbaud Merchant Services is Blackbaud’s end-to-end payment processing solution. It's both a credit card gateway and processor that handles international transactions by supporting currencies for US, Canadian, and Australian dollars, British pounds, and Euros.
With Blackbaud Merchant Services, you can:

The Blackbaud Merchant Services Web Portal uses Blackbaud ID for easier access with more security. From the portal, you can view transactions, run reports, and verify your settings.

Select Merchant Services from the main menu.
There are three requirements to process payments with Blackbaud Merchant Services.
1 — Merchant accounts
Blackbaud Merchant Services uses merchant accounts to receive and hold funds from your supporters. After Blackbaud Merchant Services receives funds from the card holder’s bank, it deposits them into your merchant account. The funds then transfer to your bank account, known as a disbursement or payout.
Organization admins can create, view, edit and delete merchant accounts by logging into Blackbaud.com and navigating to Admin, Settings, Merchant accounts.
2 — Account configurations
Each Blackbaud Merchant Services account is configured for credit card types, process mode (live or test), and fraud settings.
To view your existing account configurations or create a new one, log into the Blackbaud Merchant Services Web Portal. From Control Panel, Settings, expand Account configurations.

3 — Connect your account to your Blackbaud solutions
To handle payments with your Blackbaud solutions, you need to provide your Blackbaud Payment Service and Blackbaud Merchant Services information.

Use Blackbaud MobilePay Terminal, to process credit card payments anywhere, anytime. Whether you’re at an off-site event or away from the office, all you need is a wireless or data connection and a payment terminal.

You can set up as many Blackbaud Merchant Services accounts as you need. There is no charge or monthly service fee.

The reports available in the Blackbaud Merchant Services Web Portal help you keep track of activity within your account, reconcile disbursements to your bank, and compare transactions across Blackbaud solutions. Use our pre-formatted reports to assist with internal reconciliation workflows and financial auditing.

Check the spelling of your search criteria. Incorrectly typed search terms will not return results. We recommend you enable the spell check for your browser or mobile device.

Use short phrases. To avoid too many search results, use short phrases such as “create user.” Don’t ask questions such as “How do I create a user?”

Enter a synonym or near synonym as search criteria, such as "manage," "view," or "edit."
