Post Gift Aid Tax Claim to Nominal Ledger

To claim tax on eligible gifts previously posted to the nominal ledger, you must run an R68 process. When you run an R68 process and include previously posted gifts that are eligible for Gift Aid, tax claim is calculated and appears in the Gift Aid NL Distributions grid on the NL Distributions tab of a payment. This grid displays the tax claim amount for the gift and a status of "Not posted." To post a tax claim that appears in this grid to the nominal ledger, run the Post to NL process again. The Gift Aid tax claims now include a status of "Posted."

When the R68 process includes refunds, NL distribution reversals are created for payment applications. These refunds are included the next time you run the Post to NL process.

For more information about this posting process, refer to NL Ledger.

Note: You can define the type of revenue to be debited and credited for Gift Aid in Administration. You must map a Gift Aid account before you can commit an R68 process. For more information, refer to Define NL Accounts.
