When you run a paperless mandate instruction process, the program generates instruction records for the selected direct debit transactions with pending "New," "Setup," or "Cancel" instructions. After you run a paperless mandate instruction process, you can download and send its transmission file to your organisation’s bank to be processed through BACS. You can also download a control report to view the revenue transactions for which instruction records were successfully created.
To generate a paperless mandate instruction for a transaction, it must have an instruction record pending. When you first save a new direct debit pledge, recurring gift, or membership instalment plan with DDI source and date entered, the program automatically creates a pending "New" instruction for the transaction. To add a pending instruction for a transactions, edit its payment information to select Send instruction and select the type of instruction record to generate—"New," "Setup," or "Cancel." After you run the process, the program automatically updates the records of the revenue transactions included in the process with the instruction sent date.
