Create a fundraiser

To create a fundraiser, select Fundraising, Create from the community navigation.

  1. Select Create a fundraiser.

  2. Select an organization from Search or from My Favorites.

  3. Enter a name in the Name Your Fundraiser field.

    • This name will show in Explore Fundraisers, admin reporting, and NPO donation reports.

    • 60 characters or fewer.

  4. Enter a Description.

  5. Upload a Fundraiser Image, optional. You can drag and drop a file from your computer or select Upload File to browse and select your image.

    • This image will show in the fundraiser’s header and its thumbnail in Explore Fundraisers.

    • Maximum size: 10MB. Accepted types: JPG, PNG, GIF. Recommended dimensions: 1280 x 700 pixels.

  6. Select a Video Type and enter the Video Link to add a video, optional.

    • Accepted video platforms are YouTube and Vidyard. Enter the video’s URL. Do not use the video platform’s share options.

  7. Upload up to 20 images in the Photo Gallery field, optional. You can drag and drop a file from your computer or select Upload File to browse and select your image.

    • Maximum size: 5MB. Accepted types: JPG, PNG, GIF.

  8. Select a Currency for your fundraiser. This field cannot be changed after the fundraiser is created.

  9. Enter a fundraising Goal, optional.

    • If Private Goal is selected, only the creator will be able to see the fundraiser’s progress.

  10. Select a End Date and End Time for your fundraiser.

    • If needed, adjust the Time Zone for your fundraiser’s End Time. This setting defaults to the time zone saved on your My Account profile.

  11. Enter a Custom Designation, optional.

    • If a custom designation is created, it will be the default designation. If no designation is created, it will default to the fundraiser name.

  12. Enable Private Page, optional.

    • If a fundraiser is set to private, then it can only be shared by link. It will not appear in Explore Fundraisers.

  13. If your community has a disclaimer, select I have read and agree.

  14. Select Complete and Launch to publish your fundraiser.

    • If fundraiser approval is enabled in your community, select Submit for Approval to finish. Pending fundraisers will publish and launch once they have been approved by an admin. You can make changes to your fundraiser while it is in the pending state.
