What's coming soon
-
Beginning March 11, we will enable an enhanced, streamlined donation checkout flow for users in stages.
-
In the 24.4.0 release, targeted for April 2, 2024, we'll end support for the old version of the homepage and for Text to Engage functionality.
General community
To cater to our entire user audience, the state restriction tag color listed on California restricted organizations will change from red to yellow.
Give
This release, we are enabling a streamlined donation checkout flow that will be available for both Give and Giving Campaign. The streamlined checkout flow includes the following:
-
An updated matching component with additional match program info on the donation details page
-
Updated totals section which better displays fee info (CA AB 488 bill requirement)
-
An updated designation section (CA AB 488 bill requirement)
-
An updated screen when selecting a donation date for offline donations
-
An updated screen for payroll selections when creating a new recurring donation
-
A new page to select privacy information during checkout
-
A new screen for entering credit card or virtual wallet info during checkout
-
A success message once checkout has been completed
For more information, see the following topics:
If an organization has not been vetted, users are not allowed to log an offline donation to the organization. Instead, users are prompted to submit a vetting request. After the organization has been vetted, users can log their offline donations and request a match if a match program is available.
For more information, see Checkout flow.
If all other redirect options are disabled, not currently eligible to receive funds, or not configured, the Redirect Funds page will give donors the option to donate their stranded funds to the processor.
Peer to Peer Fundraising
Previously, the progress bar on the Peer to Peer Fundraiser page would include pending matches in the calculated totals. We have updated the progress bar to only include matches once they have been approved.
We have added informative text to the Peer to Peer Fundraiser page:
-
When hovering over the progress bar, new text explains that company match contributions display in the progress bar only after admin approval.
-
We have added a tooltip to explain that company match contributions will not display in the Recent Donations section.
-
Admins can edit and add custom translations for both explanatory texts at CSRconnect Admin Portal, Community Settings, Fundraising Design, Fundraising Page Custom Text.
Volunteer
To provide cleaner responses in reporting, there are now custom question options that limit user entries:
-
Numeric Field - Users can only enter a positive, numeric value. Decimals are permitted; commas and special characters are not accepted in this field.
-
Date Field - Users can only enter a date based on their selected language format.
CRA admins can now select View event creator CRA survey answers to review event creator answers to CRA event creator question sets. To filter results answered for team events, select Filter. In the Add Filter screen, select Participation Type for the filter name and Team Events for the participation type.
Reporting
To display current and retain historical information for group admins, the logic for the Is Group Admin column on the Group Admin Report has been adjusted. CSRconnect will list all admins who have held this role as long as they have an associated Admin Role Start Date listed. The report pulls the entire group history since there are no longer date or data type filter selections.
The CRA Question Set Response Id column in the CRA Participations Report now accounts for CRA project details.
When pulling the Volunteer Events Report by Event Shift, the Shift Capacity column is now included.
The Organization Postal Code, which is the charity's postal code, is now available in the Board Membership Report.
When a pledge becomes inactive, the pledge_end_date in the Pledge data feed and Pledge End Date in the Tableau Pledge DataSource are now set to the date it became inactive.
CSRconnect Admin Portal
In the 24.2.0 release, we added a link to Blackbaud’s California Assembly Bill 488: Impact to Charitable Organizations FAQ to the state restriction identifier text in the employee Community. That link will now also appear in the state restriction identifier text in the CSRconnect Admin Portal.
The Engagement Element Designer now allows for embedded videos from Youtube and Vidyard. The Embed Video content element is available in the Elements menu of the EE Designer Page Builder. For video embedding instructions, see the EE Designer page.
Admins can now select Save on the Stranded Funds Automation settings page if there are processors with no alternate and suggested redirect organizations selected. If there is a processor with suggested organizations selected, but no alternate organization is set, admins will need to set an organization as the alternate before saving.
Admins can edit SFA settings from CSRconnect Admin Portal, Processing Settings, Transaction Redirects.
Miscellaneous
When admins select the Help Center option now, they are redirected to a specific help page that correlates to the feature they are using in YourCause CSRconnect. If there is no correlating page currently, the Help Center option redirects users to the Help Center home page.
Based on feedback we've received:
-
Where applicable, the date datapoint is now identified in the respective Data feeds definition PDF and Excel files. This datapoint information is also provided in an "at-a-glance" view on the Data feeds wiki and Help Center pages.
-
There was an additional FAQ added for CA AB 488 to help organizations that had been revoked by a California agency regain "good standing" with YourCause. See California Assembly Bill 488: Impact to YourCause Communities for details.
