Stranded Funds Automation enhancements
We're launching improvements to the Stranded Funds Automation (SFA) process that help more donations reach their intended charities, give greater transparency to your employee donors, and give you more flexibility in how your community handles stranded funds.
-
For most hold reasons, donations now enter a holding period before they enter SFA. During the holding period, we check for indications that we can now successfully disburse a payment to the intended charity and make additional payment attempts when possible. If we are not able to disburse to the intended charity by the end of the holding period, the donation enters SFA.
-
The new Action Required page shows employees what actions they can take to address their stranded funds and donations at risk of becoming stranded funds.
-
To consolidate email notifications to donors, employees will now receive a weekly digest email. This email includes all donations the employee can address and directs them to the Action Required page.
-
If enabled for their community, employees can now redirect their corporate dollar donations. This applies to incentives, matches, volunteer grants, and Cause Cards.
-
We have added two new settings to SFA Settings.
-
Allow Employee to Redirect Corporate Dollars: If turned on, employees can redirect their corporate dollar donation based on the donation’s original charity bucket. If turned off, corporate dollar donations redirect automatically to the preferred alternate organization.
-
Restrict employees to alternate and suggested redirect organizations: If enabled, employees can only select an organization from your list of suggested charities when they redirect corporate dollar donations. They cannot search for a redirect organization.
-
For more information on the updated SFA process, see:
Note: The Stranded Funds Automation process will resume for all affected transactions on October 26.
Date display improvements
To improve the user experience for users outside of the United States, we have updated how dates display across the platform. Within CSRconnect, the system will determine the user’s location based on their browser settings. For users outside of the US, dates will display in dd/mm/yyyy format when applicable.

Customizable text added for one-time payroll deductions
We have added two new customizable text options to Cart Flow Settings. These custom fields allow you to provide company-specific guidance on the timing of one-time payroll deductions. Both fields appear under When would you like this deduction to start? within the checkout flow, if you have future-dated payroll enabled.
-
At a Future Date button text: Customizes the button text for the At a future date option.
-
Next Pay Period Helper Text: Customizes the helper text that appears when employees select Next pay period under When would you like this deduction to start? when they begin a payroll donation.
-
At a Future Date Helper Text: Customizes the helper text that appears when employees select At a future date under When would you like this deduction to start? when they begin a payroll donation.
Total Amount Requested added to Match Programs list
The new Total Amount Requested column shows the total of all match requests that have been requested, approved, or paid under a match program. You can see this column from CSRconnect Admin Portal, Admin tools, Program Management, Match Programs.

My Account saves Preferred T-Shirt Size
Employees can now save their Preferred T-Shirt Size in My Account. When they sign up for events with t-shirt selection, their preferred size is pre-selected when available.
If the employee does not have a preferred t-shirt size in My Account, the system saves the t-shirt size they choose during event sign up. They can update their Preferred T-shirt Size any time in My Account.
