Deposits
The list of deposits in Receivables and Treasury is the central location for all payments you receive. For Receivables. this includes payments for invoices. For Treasury, this includes payments for any goods and services you provide, such as advertising fees.
Note: Before you add deposits, you must add at least one bank account for them. For more information, see Add Bank Accounts.
To view a deposit, select View from the row's menu or select the deposit in the list.
To add a deposit, select Add. You can add an unlimited number of payments for the deposit before saving it. For more information, see Add Deposits.
To narrow the list to only deposits with specific criteria, such as deposit amount or status, select Filter. Select the criteria of deposits to work with and then select Apply filters.
To change the columns that display in the list, select Columns, what to include, and select Apply changes. You can also reorder them by dragging and dropping the headers.
To export the list of deposits to an Excel file, select Export.
To find a specific deposit, search by deposit number or bank account name.
To edit a deposit, select Edit from the row's menu. For more information, see Edit deposit.
You can void a posted deposit with an Open deposit status. On the deposit record page, select Void deposit.
After you void the deposit, the record disables and the total deposit amount adjusts to $0. Voided also displays on the deposit record and each payment for the deposit.
Note: You can't void a deposit that is cleared, closed, or reconciled. In addition to the deposit's status and its post status, you must also have permission void deposits.
You can delete a deposit when payments aren't associated with it. To do this, open the deposit record and select Delete.
Tip: If Delete doesn't display, either payments are associated with it so you can't delete it or you don't have permission to delete deposits.
To add a payment for the deposit, select Add payment from the row's menu. For more information, see Add Payments.
Note: You can't add a payment for a deposit that is cleared, closed, or reconciled. You must also have security rights to add payments.
Warning: In a future release, we will offer full support for receivables payments in web view.
