Manage School Years & Multiyear
In Manage School Years, schools define when their application session opens and closes for each school year. Session dates may overlap, allowing for "Multiyear" functionality where a school may have more than one session open at a time. This means a school can continue accepting applications for the current school year while also opening next year's application session and accepting applications for the coming year.
When a school year is created, the following settings from the previous year roll over to the newly created year:
-
School aid settings and custom calculation settings
To update settings, such as deadlines, for a specific year, select the year in the dropdown in the upper right, make the neceesaary changes, then select Save.
Parents are not able to apply for a session until the open date. If a parent searches for and selects a school with a session open date in the future, the parent will see a message indicating the future open date. They will need to return and complete the application on or after that date.
Note: Enterprises must manage school years for each school individually.
