Guidelines for File Uploads and Attachments

Many areas in GrantsConnect allow you to upload images and files as attachments, responses to form fields, etc. Accepted file sizes and formats are detailed in the sections below.

 

Applications

The guidelines below apply to files uploaded as part of the application process. This includes all custom forms (e.g., Request Form, Review, etc.) with File upload fields.

Maximum File Size 29 MB with a maximum of 10 files per upload
Accepted File Types Image - WEBP, TIF, TIFF, SVG, BMP, GIF, JPG, JPEG, PNG
Word / Text - DOC, DOCX, ODP, PPT, PPTX, PDF, TXT, RTF, ODT
Spreadsheets - XLS, XLSX, CSV, ODS
Audio - WEBM, WAV, AAC, MIDI, MID, MP3, CDA, OGA, OPUS
Video - MP4, MPEG, MKV, AVI, OGV
Code - CSH, SH, CSS, HTML, HTM, PHP, JS, MJS, PHP, JS, MJS, XML, XHTML, JSON
Archive - BZ, BZ2, RAR, TAR, ZIP, 7Z, GZ
Excluded File Types EXE

 

The guidelines below apply to image files for electronic signatures.

Accepted File Types WEBP, TIF, TIFF, SVG, BMP, GIF, JPG, JPEG, PNG

Application View

Note: These files can only be accessed in the Grant Manager Portal.

The guidelines below apply to external files uploaded as attachments in the Application View.

External File Attachments
Maximum File Size 29 MB

The guidelines below apply to emails sent outside of GrantsConnect that are attached to applications using the External Email Integration feature.

External Email Attachments
Maximum File Size 20 MB including email attachments

Communications can be added to an application in the Application View.

Communications Attachments
Maximum File Size 29 MB

System emails

Note: These files can only be accessed in the Grant Manager Portal.

The guidelines below apply to file attachments that can be added to custom email templates. This includes attachments added when configuring the email template as well as send manually for Revision Requests, etc.

Program setup

Note: These files can only be accessed in the Grant Manager Portal.

The guidelines below apply to custom program logos and background images added when setting up grant and nomination programs.

Note: These files can only be accessed in the Grant Manager Portal.

The guidelines below apply to client logos used as branding in the Grant Manager Portal as well as shown in programs and emails.
