Create In-Kind Simple Budgets

  1. Navigate to the Program Setup > Budgets area.

  2. Select the Create budget button followed by the Single budget option.

  3. In the Create Budget screen, provide the following details:

    1. Provide a name and description.

    2. Select In-kind in the Type field.

    3. Enter a cash value in the Budget total field. This value represents the total funds that will be available in this budget. It can be increased later if needed.

      Tip: Click on the Calculate total button to open a calculator tool that helps determine a cash value for the Budget total based on in-kind items in the client's account. Learn more.

    4. Optional - Provide an Account number.

      Note: This can be any unique ID to use for Accounts Payable integration and reporting. Learn more.

    5. Optional - Click on the Select tags button to assign system tags to the budget to aid in filtering and reporting.

  4. Click Save to create your budget.

Once saved, your budget will open in the Budget Detail view and added to the Open Budgets tab on the Program Setup > Budgets page. From here, you can edit the budget's configuration and details.
