Add CAPTCHA or reCAPTCHA
Tip: The recommended checkout configuration includes reCAPTCHA v3. Do not add a separate CAPTCHA question to pages with the recommended checkout.
To protect your form from fraudulent activity, add a CAPTCHA question. This question uses the CAPTCHA version set for your site to provide CAPTCHA or reCAPTCHA protection.
Add reCAPTCHA v3
Note: To use Google reCAPTCHA v3, set the SEC_CAPTCHA_VERSION Site Option to RECAPTCHA_v3, as described in CAPTCHA or reCAPTCHA.
On the Add Questions page of your form configuration, click Add a Question.
From the Question Type drop-down list, click CAPTCHA, and then click Next.
Click Preview to review your form.
By default, the Google reCAPTCHA v3 image displays in the lower-right of the form. No question or interactive prompt displays.
Click Finish.
Add an original CAPTCHA prompt
On the Add Questions page of your form configuration, click Add a Question.
From the Question Type drop-down list, click CAPTCHA and then click Next.
In the Question Text area, enter directions for participants. (For example, type: "Enter the phrase shown in the following field:")
Select the Answer Required check box.
Note: The CAPTCHA question should always be required.
For Security Category, choose who sees the original CAPTCHA version question:
General displays the question to everyone
--OR--
Select an category from the drop-down list to display the question only to a specific audience or group of users
To update the contact record of the responding constituent with the response to this question, click the Yes, update the following field with the answer to this question check box and then, if the field:
Already exists in the contact record, click the appropriate field from the drop-down lists
--OR--
Does not yet exist, click Enable new custom field and enter the special category name and field name to add to the contact record for this information.
To preview your CAPTCHA question:
Click Preview.
Review your question text and options, then close the preview window and make changes.
Repeat these steps until the question displays correctly.
Tip: Use the Order field on the Question List to set the question order.
Click Finish.
