Tasks that Create a Task Result Group

Contact tasks that create task results groups are set up to search your contact profiles for specific information and return all constituents who meet the criteria. These tasks include the:

  • Contact Approval task type that locates your constituents who have registered but their registration requires approval (if your site is set up to require registration approval)

  • Contact Monitor task type that locates contact profiles that have been changed (for example, the constituent changed the email address or password)

  • Interest Segmentation task type that helps you segment constituents who have opted in to a specific interest category or opted out of the interest category

  • Invalid Email task type that locates constituents who are not successfully emailed because of bad addresses (hard bounces) or mail server problems (soft bounces)

After you create and schedule a contact task, you can run it immediately or wait to check the To Do list until it has run at its scheduled interval.

When a contact task completes and the Last Run Status column contains completed (results), the resulting group is displayed on the To Do List page. Authorized administrators can click the group name link in the list to display the group and then view each contact profile or remove the constituent from this task results group. Any contacts listed in the group that are not removed will display in the Task Results folder of the Groups application.

When a Contact Approval task creates a group, the Approve and Deny options are also listed in the Actions column of all contact records returned.
